Starting June 6, 2022, Casetext will be offering access to practice guides and forms from James Publishing. Since 1981, James Publishing has provided practical law books that are loaded with time-saving motions and pleadings, client letters, and step-by-step procedural checklists, pattern arguments, model questions, pitfalls to avoid, and practice tips.

This article provides instructions for obtaining free "preview" access to practice guides and forms from James Publishing. A list of the James Publishing practice guides and forms available for purchase is available here. For information on pricing, please see the article available here. To learn how to add practice guides to your Casetext subscription, please see the article available here.

Step 1: Click on the "Browse Practice Guides" button, available beneath the search bar on the Casetext homepage:

Step 2: You will then be taken to a page that lists all of the practice guides and forms available for purchase. You can view the complete list on this page, or filter by practice area or jurisdiction:

Step 3: Click on the blue "Preview" prompt that appears beneath the title of the e-book that you would like to preview:

When you are in preview mode, you can view the entire Table of Contents of an e-book and the first two pages of each chapter. When you scroll to the third page of a chapter, you will see a dialog box, prompting you to add the e-book to your Casetext subscription to continue reading:
