If you had a subscription to CoCounsel before November 15, 2023, then you can expect the following:

If you also had a subscription to Westlaw Precision on November 15, 2023, then the only change is that your legal research memos are now powered by Westlaw Precision, and not the legal content at casetext.com. Every other part of your access to CoCounsel will remain the same. Learn more at CoCounsel Core with Westlaw Precision.

If you did not have a subscription to Westlaw Precision on November 15, 2023, then your use of CoCounsel will remain unchanged. However, you may upgrade to CoCounsel Core as a Westlaw Precision user. See above.

Free access for staff varies by plan.

When at least one attorney at an organization has a subscription, then staff at that organization may receive free access. After subscribing, account administrators may add additional attorney subscriptions (paid) and staff (free) to the account.

Free administrative access is available for staff at your organization who do not need to use CoCounsel. Free access to use CoCounsel technology, and not just manage the account, is also available to staff when the ratio of attorneys to staff subscriptions is 1:1.

Enterprise

Staff at Enterprise organizations receive free access to use CoCounsel technology.

Free administrative access is available for staff at your organization who do not need to use CoCounsel. However, staff access to the technology requires a subscription.
