CoCounsel meets you where you are and suggests where to go. This article explains how to use CoCounsel’s examples.

A. How the AI works

When you begin a new chat, CoCounsel assumes that you will request what you need. But if you need help getting started, select an example. As you chat, CoCounsel will pay attention, apply its existing capabilities to what you’re working on, and then suggest specific work it can do.

B. Getting Started

1. New chats

New chats are not a blank page. CoCounsel provides examples. Select an example.

2. As you chat

As you chat, CoCounsel will apply its existing capabilities to what you’re working on and suggest specific work it can do. Select "Give me examples" or open the right sidebar, select an example, and select specific work.

3. Get new examples

As you continue to chat, CoCounsel will automatically update the specific work it can do, but you can also manually get new examples. Select any example, scroll to the bottom, and then click “Get new examples.”

C. Limitations

1. CoCounsel applies its existing capabilities

CoCounsel only applies its existing capabilities to your work in a chat. As CoCounsel gains new capabilities, new example work will appear.

Enterprise Admins: CoCounsel will not show example work for skills that are disabled for your organization.

2. Update frequency for example work

Generally, after a handful of new chat messages, CoCounsel will automatically get new work for every example. To get new work immediately, select any example, scroll to the bottom, and then click “Get new examples.”

3. Example work takes a few seconds

You can manually update examples of specific work by selecting "Get new examples." This can take a few seconds, because CoCounsel is quickly reading the chat, and then applying its existing capabilities to your requests.
